A Life of Faith

New year, new sermon series!

Between January and March 2025, we will be working our way through an 11 week series looking at the life of Abraham in the book of Genesis which we have called A Life of Faith. Abraham is the greatest example of a life of faith in Scripture and so we’re really excited to look at his life together as a church and to learn from his example.

God called Abraham out of his old way of life and promised to bless him, make a nation out of him and bless the whole world through him. Abraham’s life was full of both spectacular highs and great lows and he was called to work out his faith in the normal day-to-day realities and challenges of life, working through his own failings and fears and learning to trust God and to hold on to his promises to the very end.

There are profound truths for us to learn here. We too are called to live lives full of faith in response to what God is asking of us. We are not to settle or become comfortable but are instead to keep going and to press on in the adventure of faith into all that God has for us as individuals and as a church. This life is challenging, but he has called us, he has given us his promises to hold on to and we can trust him, come what may.

Alongside the series, we’ll be interviewing people in the church about what living a life of faith looks like for them and our children and youth will also be looking at the life of Abraham in their groups too. If you want to dig deeper, we recommend getting a copy of this book to read alongside the series.

Welcome to A Life of Faith.
